Another pipe from Jürgen Moritz with the Eltang style of rustication, this time a stacked Billiard with a silver ferrule. One nice thing about having this finish adopted by other carvers (with Tom's blessing, of course) is being able to see it displayed on a new range of shapes. It really works well on this piece, the deep grooves take nothing away from the clean and elegant lines. The silver work is exceptional, as is the hand-cut fishtail stem. The black on black color scheme makes it appropriate for dress situations, but the rustication lets you know that the pipe also knows how to let its hair down and have a good time. Recommended.
