Balleby's rounded take on the Bulldog is easily one of his most recognizable shapes. I imagine that this one was made when "0" was the highest grade, because with the tight, even grain that wraps completely around the bowl and the awesome display of birdseye on the underside, it is surprising this one was only stamped as a "5."
