In the immortal words of the great philosophers Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar; “SCHWING!!”

Yes, this amazing Adam Remington would (technically) be categorized as a horn. Then again, the Danish esoteric form of the Eskimo/Ukulele/Sarcophagus is a rhapsody on the theme of the bulldog/rhodesian. This presentation employs so many of the conceptual modifications that elevated the bulldog to the Uke, that a case can be made that this Remington is no longer a horn, but a fresh, unique form that deserves its own name. As far as what to call it? I haven’t a clue… yet. I’m sure that between Adam and his rapidly growing list of collectors, we’ll have something soon.

The top view is amazing. Ok, that was stupid; this presentation is amazing from every conceivable angle. Still, the scenery from above provides the best vantage to appreciate the beautiful pairing of a broad, beveled shank with a vertically compressed bowl, a vista which truly encapsulates the spirit of this iconoclastic shape. Rocking on its broad base, the side views reveal a contour that is imbued with a sense of speed (something one would never say about a Uke), as well as a savagely beautiful straight grain. From the dauntingly lovely plateau and birdseye on the rim, to bit work that already has many collectors comparing Remington to the late Barbi, this pipe should be given serious consideration as an acquisition by any discerning collector. Highly recommended.

How To Buy?

You'll see I don't have links to PayPal to buy a pipe or accessories on my site, I don't like the idea of hitting a button and buying a pipe. Call me old fashioned but I want to know who's buying a pipe from me. Here is How to Buy »
